Lumen is a local-first macOS utility. Your data never leaves your Mac.
Nothing. Lumen has no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and makes no network connections from the app to any server.
To show you what is taking up space, the app reads file sizes and dates
(modification, creation, last-opened) and free/total disk space. It does
not read the contents of your files. Scan results and settings are stored only in
~/Library/Application Support/Lumen on your Mac.
If the app crashes, a diagnostic log is written only to
~/Library/Application Support/Lumen/crashes on your Mac. It is never transmitted. You
may choose to attach it to an email yourself.
This website may be served with standard server logs by the hosting provider. If you choose to send feedback from the app, only your message, the app version and your macOS version are stored — no account, no identifiers, no IP address.
Full Disk Access (optional) lets scanning see protected locations. Notifications (optional) are used only for low-disk-space alerts. Both are granted by you and can be revoked anytime.
